Bump Styled: Boho Brights

<< Top: c/o Questhaven Fashions (non-maternity), Denim: Gap, Wedges: HM, Necklace: Chicpeek, Earrings: Bauble Bar, Ring: c/o Ily Couture, Bracelets: Loren Hope, InPink >>

This Monday morning has me in a hazy cloud.
A dream of a weekend but there is zombie state aftermath!
We hit up the Atlanta Dogwood Festival and sent most of the day there yesterday. No bugs, no humidity, and nothing but sun. There are only a handful of weeks like that in the year!
How was your weekend??

Its crunch time for the website launch. (hint: coming in the next 24 hrs! facebook/twitter will be the first to know) I will be transferring the blog feed over to the new site but if you lose updates, it should be easy to re-subscribe. Will keep you posted!

Ever since Gabriel felt the baby move, he has been frequently asking me what the baby is doing, and what we should call him/her. Here are some of the names that were being discussed while Gabe was snapping these pics...

Mary Fawn
Mary Chapstick
Mary Nose

He cracked himself up. He gets his joke skills from his dad..;)
Speaking of names, do you name the baby before he or she arrives? We have a few favorites for both boy and girl that we have up our sleeves. I like to see the face of the baby though before naming them. I was pretty sure the name Veronica needed to be a dark hair and dark eyed babe, but when I saw little V for the first time, I knew that it fit her just right. Gabe and I talk about names on a regular basis. We have a whole list we love. We'll see how many we get to use;)

We had a beautiful weekend here in Georgia. Spring is finally staying for a minute. Happy Monday!

P.S. Last day to enter to win a pair of Wayfarer Ray Bans!

There are a few basics this pregnancy that I have been switching out back and forth. Comfortable pants are probably the most important factor for me. I use a Blanqi to keep up non-maternity pants and to smooth and shape. I also love long and loose tops. My leopard flats are almost at their end considering I have worn the life out of them! Color and prints can be thrown in with accessories. For instance...

Sometimes I stick a tote inside a larger carry all:) I can fit just about everything into this Long Haul Bag - laptop, bottles, diapers, snacks (for low cal emergencies for both the kids and I;), wallet, make-up, etc. That way, if I am heading into a store and don't need it all, I can pull out the smaller tote to stick in necessities.

So there you have some of my wear and go tricks of the mama-hood trade;)

Bump Styled: Uptown/Downtown

White Coat: c/o Sheinside, Tunic top: ON, Denim: Gap, Boots: (similar), Tote: ASOS (similar), Leather Jacket: c/o Windsor Store, Necklace: c/o Chicpeek, F21

I had a glorious forced break from work these past 4 days.
My computer died on me and despite deadlines and big goals for the weekend, God decided I needed to rest and be still. I can't believe the wonders it did for me. I tackled logo design with pen and paper, my house got cleaned,  some DIY projects were completed, I started this book (fascinating so far), and the kids and I built lots of forts and block towers. Gabe and I also watched an unhealthy amount of NCAA basketball and our new addiction "Once Upon a Time" on netflix.

I think I will hide my computer more often;) These small things made me so happy. Its not easy to unplug when your job depends on your computer, but I realize how necessary it is for my own well being.

Hope you all had a good weekend despite the fact that spring seems to be on strike nationwide!

Bump Styled: Neon and Turquoise

{Top: c/o Questhaven Fashions (20% off site with code IHOD), Coated Jeans: H&M, Necklace: Bauble Bar, Shoes: Zara (similar), Tote: Asos (similar)}

Anyone have tips for that lovely growing out the bangs phase? A perpetual side braid is all I got!

I am entering into the third trimester (already?!) - what I like to compare to feeling as if you are carrying a kangaroo in your pouch and the awkward waddle starts to replace your once confident stride. The puffy  face alludes to the fact that you did just eat a whole can of pringles by yourself, and you don't really care if your toddler just dumped a bag of rice on the floor. Let her play in that mess because you don't have the energy to move you and your kangaroo pouch off the chair to clean it up.
Goodbye energetic and mobile second trimester.
But its okay because I get lots of kicks and hellos from the little one inside reminding me its all worth it.

In other news...
We were blessed with the most gorgeous weekend Georgia has seen in a while, and even better, I had my sisters in town to share it with. I am now okay with the rainy monday since I soaked the sun out of the weekend. How was yours friends?

P.S. Its the last day to enter to win $50 credit to PURSEmafia! This could be that time you win!

Bump Styled: 5 months - Nautical + Yellow

{Top: c/o Tailor and Stylist, Denim: Gap, Clutch: DIY, Watch: c/o Tailor and Stylist, Necklace: c/o Dear Margot, Heels: Zara (similar)

Nautical and yellow. Two loves I will never grow tired of.
Silky soft material had nothing to do with the fact that I wore this tee to bed last night...
By the way dear readers, I hope you are taking note of the extra face padding taking residence this pregnancy. I actually prefer the more healthy robust look so I will take it. Just packing weight for the sleepless days to come;) The second trimester is a beautiful thing. Baby movements, no nausea, more energy, and the hope that spring will grace the state of Georgia soon:)

P.S. Dear Academy Awards....
Les Mis should have.

Oh My Chic on Repeat

{Tee: c/o Ily Couture, Pants: similar here, Cap: H&M similar, Heels: Zara similar, Ring: c/o Ily Couture}

I actually wore this shirt for three days in a row. Wore it with sweatpants, jeans, and then dressed it up with heels. It was just that comfortable, which was necessary this week. I am taking cues from my three year old who insists on wearing his favorite shirt inside out for days in a row until I hide and wash it.

I started to feel the baby move these past few weeks. The rewarding and terribly sweet reminder that there is a little one growing in there and we are over the half way mark! Fastest pregnancy yet.

And Downton Abbey...I can't even talk about it. Yelled at the screen and fist shook at the producers....I will get over it eventually. Sigh...

That's all for now friends.
Have a great start to your week!
Love, Anna

Thank you February

{Coat: c/o Sheinside, Necklace: Bauble Bar, Sweater: J. Crew, Blouse: Windsor Store, Velvet Pants: Gap, Boots: F21, Watch: c/o Tailor and Stylist}

Thank you...... February,
For rescuing us from the longest month of the year.
The fact that you are short makes you tall in my standards.
And you bring the hope of spring weather.
I wore bright colors to maybe entice you to bring some warmer days to Georgia.
Thanks for the trademark x's and o's for us to scatter all over the place in the next few weeks.
xoxoxo, Anna

P.S. More giveaways for you readers up on the facebook page all week! Just because its the month of love and all, and I kind of {heart} you friends!

Mama Style Link Up!...

{This mama solution to no-chip manis ;) }
{Favorite piece of jewelry. Each one represents someone in my family. Custom made by The Silver Acorn.}
{Jacket: similar, Tunic Top: Old Navy, Denim: Gap, Boots: similar here or here, Watch: Aldo (similar), Charm Bracelet: The Silver Acorn}

 During the week, my mama style is a tee and jeans. On the weekends, it's still jeans. I just dress it up with a few layers:) Tunic tops are my saving grace during pregnancy! The fit through the trimesters, are forgiving, and are fun to work with!

THREE FAVORITE MAMA MUST HAVES FOR EVERY WARDROBE:

1.) Comfy soft tees that you can dress up or dress down. I live in these.
2.) Lightweight scarves. These are so easy to dress up a tee or complete a look without having to think. I have used these more times than I can count.
3.) Soft leather flats. Stylish kick with a comfortable feel (noticing a theme??). The perfect answer for all day wear with no pain at the end of the crazy days:)

This week is a fun twist to the usual lookbook posts:) I am linking up with 7 other stylish mamas who will each be sharing their personal style and their three mama must haves to work into a wardrobe! Love each of these gals and their style is phenom! Hope it inspires you to get creative with your own closet and hope you will play along.  We each will be picking 3 of our favorite looks to feature here on IHOD next week among those of you who link up! Here are the deets:

Bump Styled: 4 months

<<  Jacket: c/o A-Thread, Vest: c/o Windsor Store, Top and Denim: ON, Heels: Zara (similar), Clutch: Gap, Rhinestone Necklace: c/o Hello Fab, Cable chain Necklace: DIY  >>

Its about time I introduce you all to my baby bump. I am looking forward to the challenge of not staying in sweats all day every day. It gets me out of my sleepy state and into action mode.

Thank you..... 4th month of pregnancy,
for the fact that you have kicked away that morning icks, and replaced it with a mild case of energy.
I don't love the fact that the amount of wearable pants is dwindling by the day, but that's okay. This just reassures me there is a healthy young tot growing inside.
I also appreciate that you have know given me a nifty little shelf to place things on if I so choose to use it. You are pretty cool so far. I may like you best.
Sincerely, Anna

P.S. I dream of a little brother for Gabriel, so when I saw this clip, it had me drowning in my own tears. What a gift those with special needs are to this world!
