Ever since Gabriel felt the baby move, he has been frequently asking me what the baby is doing, and what we should call him/her. Here are some of the names that were being discussed while Gabe was snapping these pics...

Mary Fawn
Mary Chapstick
Mary Nose

He cracked himself up. He gets his joke skills from his dad..;)
Speaking of names, do you name the baby before he or she arrives? We have a few favorites for both boy and girl that we have up our sleeves. I like to see the face of the baby though before naming them. I was pretty sure the name Veronica needed to be a dark hair and dark eyed babe, but when I saw little V for the first time, I knew that it fit her just right. Gabe and I talk about names on a regular basis. We have a whole list we love. We'll see how many we get to use;)

We had a beautiful weekend here in Georgia. Spring is finally staying for a minute. Happy Monday!

P.S. Last day to enter to win a pair of Wayfarer Ray Bans!

  1. So glad I'm not the only one to wear heels while pregnant.=)

  2. I felt the same way about Josephine. It was our favorite girl name, but I always thought it would be best suited to a dark-haired, dark-eyed little girl. Now I think it fits our little blonde-haired, blue-eyed gal perfectly :)

  3. I don't have any babies but I have always thought I would need to see a face before I can pick a name. Some names just suit some babies better than others :).

  4. We tend to choose (and announce) our boy/girl name choices during the pregnancy, but with our last one I changed my mind on the first name when he was born. We have some we're considering this time around, but I think we'll keep them under wraps until baby is born in September!

  6. I wanted to know the sex of the children before they were born, so each of my beautiful girls had name before they were born. I would call them by their name when I would rub my tummy, and when they were kicking around.

  7. You are looking gorgeous! I think it's nice to name baby before they are born just so you can call him/her something while still in your tummy!

  10. so so cute! my mom named my little brother ian when he was first born and then twenty minutes later they decided that he was more of a liam so they switched it. but my son was named the second i found out i was having a boy. although, it's hard to argue when my husband is william the third... so now we have william the fourth! big name for such a tiny little man :)

  11. I love names. I love thinking about names. I was listening in Mass yesterday to all the saints names in the liturgy and just thinking of how wonderful it would be to have a whole cannon of saints... : ) Anastasia, Lucy, Agatha...haha..and those aren't on our coveted list... I sometimes wonder that we only get to use one name at a time. : )

  12. omg little gabriel is THE cutest. such a stud. S and i have a girls first name down. Question: we have decided we will wait (WHEN THE DAY COMES) to find out the gender until the baby is actually born. Is there a reason you all are waiting? it is the norm here in the UK to wait, but obviously seems in the USA more people do not wait.

  13. Mary Chapstick gets my vote for sure! Haha, so cute! I don't have babies yet but I feel like I would need to wait until they got here... I'd have one or two confirmed in my mind and then decide for sure when they arrive! You are looking amazing, by the way!

  17. You are so cute here!Beautiful pictures! As for names, we named our daughter even before she was born and the name fit her dead on as soon as I saw her. As for my son, her had a name (Max), but didn't look like it when he was born...so he was nameless for 2 days until we could find one that fit him (Brady!) Baby naming is so fun, though:)

  20. These pics are darling- you are one gorgeous pregnant lady! I have a long list of baby names in my head too- I keep telling my hubby we'll have to have at least half a dozen kids so I can use my favorites! :)

  21. Anna- you look AWESOME! Seriously Serious. And Gaber- Love him. So cute. I think I see modeling in his future. ;) We missed you yesterday skyping but had fun catching up with your other half. V was a hoot. Bringing Gabe her diaper... taking all her clothes off... Amelia and her would either get along great or butt heads constantly because I think they have the same exact personality.

we have a name picked out for our baby boy and it feels 100% right, tho i wouldnt be surprised if hes born and i think "nope! he doesnt look like a ____, gotta change it!" that wont be awesome. but we started with a list so if that happens hopefully it wont be too hard!

But I'm more in love with the playful, fun vibe with you and your son. So adorable.
