Blog Takeover: Healthy, Beautiful Food with Marshall's Abroad

I finally get to introduce you to one of my favorite food blogs! I mean, I don't have to even say anything because after you read this post, Amanda's blog will fast become your new daily visit!
--------------

Like Anna, I believe design & inspiration are everywhere around us,
and that we all have the capability to be creative artists.

Among other things, Anna inspires us with her creative DIYs and gorgeous fashion; for you, maybe it's the same, or maybe it's through music, painting, calligraphy, photography, writing, styling, interior design, or cooking that you bless others. There is potential for creativity & design in every facet of our everyday lives.  One of my passions is creativity in delicious, healthy, beautiful cooking. It is an art form and one that we all benefit from every single day!

(our home on the East China Sea!)

My philosophy is to cook simple meals with the freshest, most natural ingredients, straight from the source whenever possible -- whether that be the garden, the fish market or butcher, or your own fruit trees.  With the vast variety of fresh foods, meals don't ever have to be boring; instead, it can be a beautiful gift to those you are cooking for.

I still have so much to learn (which is why it's fun!) but here are some of our favorite recipes thought up and created in our tiny Okinawan kitchen... (:

Thank you so much for having me, Anna!

Blog Takeover: The girls of Verily Magazine

Hello IHOD readers! This is Kara Eschbach, Editor in Chief of the newly launched Verily Magazine, a fashion & lifestyle magazine focused on starting fresh conversations on authentic womanhood. Anna was kind enough to let us take over IHOD for the day to introduce ourselves, so here are a few things we think you should know about us!

Blog Takeover: Marisol of Boutique No. 1524

I am honored that Anna has invited me as a guest in IHOD, as I truly admire her talent and integrity in everything she shares.

I am Marisol from Boutique No.1524, a little space created to curate beautiful details that would inspire me for ongoing design projects; while sharing with others in the process. I consider myself a modern/classic and I believe this reflects throughout my blog.

{No. 1 - west elm  | No. 2 - anthropologie | No. 3 - west elm | No. 4 - pandora | No. 5 - stone textile | No. 6 - liberty london | No. 7 leather bracelet via hermes}

Inspiration comes in different forms, but one of my favorites is within the 'collections' series; where I get to curate beautiful fashion and decor within a given category. Today I would like to share one of these collections which I hope becomes one of your summer musings!

Blog Takeover: Mackenzie Horan of Design Darling

Hi there! I'm Mackenzie from Design Darling and I'm excited to be taking over In Honor of Design for the day! I decided to share with you a big part of my job as an online boutique owner — finding new products to roll out every couple weeks! It's so important to be constantly refreshing my assortment and getting people excited about new goodies.

Here are some of the new arrivals for the month of May! I opened my boutique Design Darling in March and have tried to roll out a small batch of new arrivals every couple weeks. That means staying on top of potential new vendors, photographing and editing new items as they come in, and keeping track of everything once it's here! It's a lot of work but the satisfaction of seeing new items up on the site — and customers' photos of how they're using the items in their homes, parties, and weddings! — never fails to make my day. You can shop all the new arrivals here and I hope you'll come say hi over on my blog! Thanks Anna for having me! xx
