Thank you...Kate Middleton,
for always being the epitome of dignified dress,
Sass meets class,
and an unending source of dress envy...
jk...but no really.
Sincerely,
Anna
P.S. You inspired today's look.
Speaking of the English...Should we talk about Downton Abbey? Yes? Okay fantastic. Otherwise the alternative is to talk about my not so interesting recap of the post traveling weekend that involved lots of napping, eating (because I am so good at that when I am pregnant), baby snuggling, and movie watching...
Downton...you save us from our winter woes and allow us to escape into a world of Ladyship and Lords, old english accents, dramatic musical interludes, and the welcome comedic relief provided by the Dowager Countess. Words can do you no justice. Season 3 - I have waited one day too long for you.
Did you watch??

congrats on the new baby!
ReplyDeleteYes- most definitely watched Downton! So excited for this season--worth staying up late for. Gorgeous outfit!
ReplyDeleteThat coat and dress are the perfect pair ;)

You look fabby, as always! I love this look... any look inspired by Kate can do no wrong in my book! I did watch Downton last night and LOVED every minute of it... this morning I woke up almost a little sad, like I want to re-watch it and soak it up more, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it all morning! I especially loved the black tie vs white tie debate throughout - so funny and also so intriguing to me. Such a different world Downton is.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you - Kate Middleton's style is an inspiration. And I'm sure that having parallel pregnancies with Kate, she may continue to inspire your look over the next few months!
ReplyDeleteCute English outfit! Kate's sister, Pippa, is not a bad dress either. YES! Love Downton Abbey. I told my husband we need a butler to announce our guest when they arrive at our tiny home. HEE HEE. Have you seen Call the Midwife, also on PBS.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! And yes, I am thankful for her bringing back classy!
ReplyDeletesuch a cute outfit. love it!
ReplyDeleteYou're way more classy than Kate! I watched DA, but I saw it early. I sort of cheated, I'm horrible I know.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that jacket, have always seen that site but never ordered anything how do you like it?
ReplyDeleteyou look fabulous!!! I don't know if I can pull out a white coat!! I m unable to watch Downton on this side of the world!! (no cable and not working online) so I ll get the DVD I guess
ReplyDeleteKate Middleton is nothing but perfection, or as close as you can get to it. And no, I didn't watch Downton. Although between your recommendation and many others, I think I need to just dedicate an entire weekend to catching up!!!

ReplyDeleteSuch a great look!!! PS. congrats on #3 :) The birth of our twins made 3 for us :) Needless to say, we're still adjusting to our 'new normal' - exciting times though for sure!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful outfit! you look stunning!
ReplyDeleteAmazing Anna, as you can see from my blog, I just LOVE Kate's elegant style. That's sort of what I wear at home. Jackets, dresses, staight skirts and anything straight, and feminine not to mention modest. The good thing about dressing like a royal is that no one even notices that you're modest! It just looks awsome! Girls are always telling me that I dress more like a lady. But that's my style. Oh, I also love black and white and anything with stripes!!! I love the faint pink colour of that dress!
