NYC 2013

{Awesome image via Moey Hoque}

Suddenly I want to cover my walls in neon tape...

Despite the CrAzY weather, the NYC trip still went down.
Seriously impressed by the way this city carries onward despite any conditions. The entire city of Atlanta will shut down over a few inches of snow, and the city of NYC was back to business the morning after Nemo. Tough ones they are...

NYC Store fronts, You've Got Mail, and Fun Links

I had little to no time to shop while in NYC (probably a good thing), but I did get an hour to run in and out some of the fun shops in SoHo:)

If you have a huge open closet, this might be a fun solution for scarves:)
Loved the details in the Madewell NYC store. I would have raided it of all its delightful treasures but then I remembered...oh wait, I can't even afford one of their socks. Okay I might be slightly exaggerating but still...

Kate Spade always without fail has the coolest store fronts.
I sometimes dream about being store front stylist in another life...
Whats that job you like to tease up in your dreams?

Oh and then I got to visit this little cafe...you know the one in You've Got Mail? (Only one of my favorite movies ever.) I died a happy death in that moment, as quotes ran through my head...

"She has to be! She haaaassss too!!!!"
"Pride and Prejudice....I bet you just love that book. I bet you read it every year. I bet you just love that Mr. Darcy and your sentimental heart must beat wildly at the thought that he and whats her name are going to end up together?"
"If I really knew you I know what I would find, instead of a brain a cash register, instead of a heart, a bottom line."
"Is this a rose? No this is a crimson rose. Something you read about in a book no doubt."
"You're nothing but a suit."
Okay I could go on but I will spare you...

Funl links for your weekend:

I will never look at folding chairs the same after this makeover.

Matine launched their fall collection. Don't even get me started..

Is quilting among your skill sets? Amazingly sweet project for NICU babies.

DIY Leather Tassel Bag Charm. (L.O.V.E.)

Head over heels for Nina Garcia's line for Bauble Bar. Affordable staples.

Matchbook mag also dropped another fantastic issue.

Happy September weekend!

New York, New York - Part 1

I have some serious baggage under my eyes.
The mini trip to NY was crazy in more ways than one. The travel part was rough. Due to cancelled and delayed flights I missed Tuesday night. However, Wednesday made up for it. It was a whirlwind jam- packed with amazing moments. I will recap IFB fun in another post.

Part of my excuse for visiting NYC was to see this girl....

Meet Liza, my best friend from college. I got to end the nights catching up with her.
She knows the ins and outs of the city, and can kindly remind me that you don't call a cab, you hunt one down...

What would I do without her?

Due to the fact that it started to pour, my hair decided to make its own decisions. Frizz was on the menu as well as my usual top knot. Oh well. I will share with you some of the girls who were more fortunate and had some seriously fab up-dos. (Coming soon)

{Top: Francesca's (similar also here or here), Necklace: c/o LYIF (sold out), Coated Jeans: H&M, Watch: Aldo, Bracelet: c/o Loren Hope, Cuff: Bellafusion, Shoes: Zara (similar), Tote: ASOS (similar)}

Cobblestone streets make every outfit post more interesting, no?
I swore I would never wear peplum. NY makes you do things you never thought possible;)

(Naomi, Natalie, and I)

A highlight of my trip was getting to have coffee with these mamas. (We missed you Sydney!)
I felt like I met some soul sisters that night. They are so down to earth, funny, positive, and inspiring. It was an easy 3 hours of chatting about life, motherhood, and blogging (of course). It was the spirit lifter I needed. Now if only they could live in the same city... ;)

So happy to be home with my babes. I can't stand being apart from them. So thankful for Gabe, who supported and encouraged this trip.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
Love, Anna
