House to Home: Letting Fall in....

Fall, is my favorite time of year. May and October are my favorite months. Maybe because its the turn of the seasons. I decided when Gabe and I first got married that a wreath on the front door from fall through winter is just necessary. It makes a home look lived in, don't ya think? Even if its a really tacky one! I hit up one of my favorite spots last week to get supplies to make an autumn wreath since our previous one was crushed during the move:/ (Its pretty simple if you would like to try one yourself.)

The apples from our apple orchard visit...

And of course, candy corn because my husband is crazy about it. And so is my two year old son. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree my friends...

How are you letting autumn into your home?
I love hearing your ideas!

Update: for those of you who asked, I purchased the doormat at IKEA!

I just pulled out my fall decor too, which sadly, is pretty limited! I am on the look out for a new wreath and I can't wait to get a bunch of those mini pumpkins when we go to the pumpkin patch in a couple of weeks!

Baking. Baking. And more baking. I started last week baking pumpkin bread. Now I'm baking cake balls, halloween cupcakes and hopefully a pumpkin pie is in the future too :) Pumpkin spice lattes and creme brulee candles always make our home a bit more cozy!

Love that wreath!

haha, this is just reminding of what i HAVEN'T done. i'm not much of a seasonal decorator & my husband thinks it's kind of weird. but we do like to decorate for halloween and christmas. also our front door has windows & a ledge right where you would hang a wreath which really bums me out. i've been thinking about getting some fall colored foliage and some pumpkins to put on the front porch. now i just need to do it! :)

Love the wreath cousin! In Houston, it's still a blazing 102 degrees. Fall doesn't exist here yet. However, we pulled out the decorations on the first day of fall since it is our favorite time of year too (includes anniversary and both birthdays)! Hobby Lobby and Michael's have great sales with lots of fun little knick-knacks for decorating. Target has REALLY cute halloween lights this year as well...perfect for a spook-tacular season!

I love all of these pictures. Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love fall scented candles, apples in a crystal bowl, and serving cider with whiskey and a slice of apple as a garnish. I also love lots of pumpkins all over the place!

I always put my fall scented candles out, a wreath on the door, along with pumpkins throughout. Now, I am ready for some cooler weather here in TEXAS!

Right now, it's mostly through food and garden. Spiced chai, chili with loads of corn from the garden, squash... :)
