Okay I know the color "oxblood" is all the rage but I simply cannot bring myself to say the word. It might have to do with the fact that I am sqeamish. So here you are... a set of photos in oxblood burgundy, wine, maroon what have you pants...
Evenings are way too short here with the 5pm sunset so we offset the winter depression with lots of eggnog and christmas music. Another way to beat the winter blues? Invite a bunch of your friends over for good food, drinks, and Christmas cheer:)
And although I LOVE the mild winters here in Atlanta, I have to admit my midwestern heart misses the snow in December. Just a tad envious of those of you that got dumped over the weekend. I am dying to go sledding......I haven't grown up yet.
Thank you all for the beautiful responses and ideas to the last post! I am amazed by humanity sometimes, and I am thankful for getting to hear about your tidings of good will.
P.S. Today is the last day you can vote in the J.Renee Blogger Style Challenge. I am actually only a few votes shy of the lead so yours really does help! Thank you kindly for doing so! (You can vote each day in case you already voted.)
Love that jacket!! I am ready for some consistent weather here. Snow would be a plus, too! Im off to vote for you!
ReplyDeleteI love the burgundy color. I also love the jacket you paired the denim with... it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYeah oxblood just seems like a ridiculous made up name. I like wine or burgundy. Very cute jacket!!!
ReplyDeleteI think those are a beautiful cabernet :) And I'm dying for some snow here in NYC!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I said the same thing! http://mylifeaccordingtoshoes.wordpress.com/2012/12/03/oxblood-i-prefer-bordeaux/

I agree... that is no name for such a beautiful color! I'm starting to get use to the early nights. I found myself putting little M in his PJs at 6pm for a few days there (when he goes to bed around 9!). Definitely messed with my schedule there for a bit! As for snow, I think it should snow in December then be done with. Sadly, it never works that way here in PA!
ReplyDeleteYou're so gorgeous Anna! Love that jacket.
ReplyDeleteI also refuse to call anything "oxblood". Bleh.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful jacket!
I hate the word Oxblood too! I think its just weird/gross. I'm all for wine (both in color & drink form)!
ReplyDeleteI moved from Pittsburgh to Memphis, and these mild winters are crazy to me! Although it went from 72 yesterday to 44 today... I still miss snow (only a little bit). :)

ReplyDeleteAhhh I also think the word oxblood is a little much...ha! I prefer "wine colored" :) You look beautiful and I was always curious about Sheinside's clothing...you are rocking it for sure!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe "oxblood" was a real trend when I heard about it - so gross! Bring back maroon and burgandy!
ReplyDeleteLove love you in these burgundy pants :) And I definitely often say oxblood, but now that I think of it it's a little weird haha.
ReplyDeleteAnna, I love this outfit and I plan to steal it when I'm back home in cold weather next week! Thanks for the inspiration!

no oxblood for me either! i mean, the color already had a description so it confuses me as to why it needed a new color name but i digress.

ReplyDeleteCan't bear to say it either! So chic and stylish. Loving the dark colored denim this season.

ReplyDeleteThe pants and jacket work so well together.

oxblood IS such an awkward word. I wonder who came up with it?! And I'm not loving the early nights either. And I'll gladly take some snow too! My pregnant body is so unsure of what to do with these warm temps!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit !I love this color, hate the name, ha. The darkness is not so fun, but the cozy Christmas is nice. -Heidi
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! It's a great color, definitely "wine", not oxblood! I'm a vegetarian so I find the name oxblood sooo repellent!
ReplyDeleteDANG GUUUUURL! Those "sugarplum" pants look killer on you- I'm a little obsessed with naming colors, thought I'd try to go the festive route for you. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit, Anna! I love the color combination of beige and "burgundy". It's so cozy. And you are absolutely right about the name of burgundy, wine, maroon... whatever we want to call it. Where did the name oxblood come from before this season?!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you look stunning!!
